History of Le Roy’s
The, now, infamous, “LeRoy’s Board Shops”, came from a humble beginning. In 1949, Felix and Louise Le Roy opened a clothing store in the small village of Big Bear Lake,Ca., calling it “Le Roy’s Bootery and Toggery”. Their specialty was western wear, flannel shirts, cowboy boots and hats, levis and mocassins. “Dad and Mom” Le Roy, retired in 1976 and the business was continued by their son, David and his wife, Monique, who have expanded the business to 9 stores in locations all over the Inland Empire.
Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead, Running Springs, San Bernardino and Redlands. The stores have transitioned from the “Mom and Pop” store to the finest ski/snowboard/fashion boutiques, in the county.
The Big Bear store inventory includes the top name brands in the snow industry, including hard and soft goods. From snowboards , boots and bindings, to jackets,pants and accessories…..everything the customer is looking for. In the Winter, Le Roy’s carries Burton, 686, Volcom, Quiksilver, Roxy, Smith, Electric, Von Zipper, Neff, Lib, Gnu, Arbor, LRG, Nike, Adidas and RVCA.
Summertime brings every big name brand plus all the affordable and trendy fashion, to the customer. Volcom, Roxy, Billabong, O’Neill, Quiksilver, Vans, DVS,Tom’s, Reef and Rainbow. Le Roy’s Board shops has grown by leaps and bounds since Dad and Mom started the “Cowboy boot” business over 60 years ago. It remains a family run business.
